Going Back

A/N: All right! I've been tempted for almost a week and I'm gonna do it! I don't know what you'll think but I want to do it! Wesley/Fred romance!

( This isn't my first fic but it is my first "Angel" fic)

Summary: The aftermath of " Billy" and its affect on Wesley and Fred.( And a little of everyone else)

Fred was a wreck! Cordelia didn't know what to do. Ever since Wesley had been gone she had been worse than before. She remembered when Fred had come back from seeing him, nearly three weeks ago...... she had been really messed up and very conflicted. Cordelia had talked to her and ended up hearing everything. She had told Fred that Wesley would understand with time and to not worry but, Fred was upset.

She had been locking herself in her room for hours at a time. Once Angel had even found her in a closet. She had them all worried......

Cordelia went up to Fred's room " Fred?" she asked gently. Fred was sitting curled up in a corner. She looked up " Oh." She looked back down at the floor. Cordelia suddenly yelled " C'mon Fred! He's gonna come back. You gotta give him a little time...." Fred said something Cordelia couldn't understand " What?" She spoke up " You didn't see it like I did! I'm so worried!" She gasped " We're worried about YOU though.... come down"

They made her come down. She didn't want to talk to them because they would only treat her like a child. She didn't speak at all. Angel tried to make a conversation several times " So...." he'd say innocently. Nobody would listen....... Fred wasn't the only depressed one.

Wesley was still in a total mess. He didn't come out, answer the phone or ever look at his mail. One day when he went to look at all the mail that had been piling up he wished he hadn't : He had received numerous letters from Fred. He regretfully read the oldest one which simply stated: We miss you and need you. We want you back now!

" Oh god!" he stated silently as he revealed a letter written two days ago. It went on and on in content about how he needed to come back or her world would fall apart. Honestly the letter sounded worst than Fred sounded when they met her. Now he was faced with something that he had known was inevitable: He had to come back.......

Everyone was sad and upset. It was raining very hard and their moods did nothing to help...... Everyone was trying to keep themselves busy except for Fred, she was staring sadly at the pouring rain trying to understand why life was so hard on her. She didn't hear the noises at the door....

He walked into the hotel muttering under his breath about how he shouldn't be there. He put the bag he was carrying down and scanned the room quickly. Then Fred noticed him!

She closed her eyes " You're not really here...." she whispered " I'm starting to see things again. " He looked at her, a deep knowing look in his eyes. She caught that glance then she knew. " Oh my god! You are real! After I've been waiting you FINALLY came back!" She jumped up and threw her arms around his neck. He looked at her awkwardly, her emotional outburst so sudden. " Fred?" he whispered gently. She looked at him

" Why?!? Why did you take so long? I kept waiting for you to come back.... we all were waiting." A funny look washed over his face " I couldn't come back, I wasn't ready yet." She smiled " Ok. That' s fine, but why are you back now? I'm not snooping I just want to know.."

He really didn't know how much to tell her " I got your letters.... I ..... uh.... knew I needed to come back." " Good." she said " You're back... now someone will talk to me like I'm human" They could feel the tension setting in " How have you been?" they both asked simultaneously " Bad" he said

" Worse" she said. He laughed "Now that we have that figured out" She smiled wondering if he was thinking the same way she was thinking.

" Wesley?" she asked. She leaned in very close to him. Before either could blink they had pulled each other into a long kiss. Yeah she thought He was thinking what I was thinking! When they pulled away they were met by an audience. Fred blushed " Guys?" Gunn and Angel were standing there staring. Cordelia stepped in from behind " Continue" she said " I'll get rid of them." She pulled the two men out of the room. Wesley looked at her confused and surprised but then they "continued" what they were doing....

End: Did you like it?? Ok it was a little mushy but what can I say? Those two are a perfect match!
